Glucosaminoglycan (Hyaluronidase) Injection

A naturally occurring lubricating substance is injected under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance into the painful joint. This will replace the depleted synovial fluid and stimulate the cells in the joint to produce more lubricating fluid, as well as decrease inflammation. This generally provides 6-10 months of relief for arthritic joint pain. This is particularly useful for early to moderate osteoarthritis or other inflammatory joint conditions.
